ZVP Fiberglass:

The Original

Z-Flex is one of the very few skateboard companies that were started in the 70’s and are still around today. The brand started in Venice, California and existed to give skateboarders a unique and better experience on a skateboard. The Original Z-Flex skateboard has a low center of gravity developed on the banks of Dogtown and proven a “get down” winner by the radical “Z” BOYS.  There have been many copies of the natural rocker in wood, but the controlled flex and durability has not been equaled. This board was the birth of the brand and the benchmark for all products that would be developed over the next 35+ years.

    Jay Adams

Jay Adams Knows EXACTLY what he wants and will not settle for less.  This mentality was exactly what came into play when he designed this board with his step-dad, Kent Sherwood. He designed this board for vertical situations.  This board includes a slight rocker to lower the center of gravity, molded in wheel wells, easy kick tail with 3/4″ fiberglass skid and a slightly heavy tail for kick turns in radical situations. This graphic has gone on to be the longest running graphic in skateboard history. It’s graced Z-Flex boards for over 35 years.

    Warptail

Z-Flex has always been known for product innovation and a unique approach to skateboarding. After Kent Sherwood had developed The Original fiberglass board he went back to the drawing board to come up with something that was more versatile and provided another option for the skaters of Dogtown. The outcome- the Warptail. A radical kicktail was added to the original model for positive back foot placement and control along with the low center of gravity rocker.

    Jimmy Plumer

Joining the Z-Flex family from the east coast, Jimmy Plumer has a fast and radical style like no other.  Plumer’s natural ability, an affinity for speed, and his devil-may-care attitude made him the perfect fit for the Dogtown skate scene. Jimmy worked to design this board uniquely for his style, to give extra stability to handle higher speeds and tight vertical transitions.  This board includes wider top deck, slight rocker to lower the center of gravity, molded wheel wells and easy kick tail with 3/4″ fiberglass skid. The Jimmy Plumer model is another iconic board in Z-Flex’s history and has been generations strong. Jimmy Plumer and this board led Z-Flex into its next generation of Z-Boyz and skateboarding.
