Z-Flex Team Fly By Phoenix

Camp Davis was in full effect again and Oscar was the first one up every morning.
A short warm-up at Tempe skate park and then it was time to visit our friends at Skate After School.
Skate After School is a program based in Phoenix, Arizona that introduces school age kids to the positives of skateboarding. We donated a dozen boards and the kids love the Z-Flex Cruisers with the Z-Smooth wheels.
The kids got to pick a Z-Flex team rider and push them around the gym in a race. Skate After School has a very relaxed structure which allows the kids to experience skateboarding in its purist form; with no one telling them a right or wrong way to ride a board. Much in the spirit of what Jay Adams and the Z boys did back in 1976.
There were over 50 students in attendance and about a dozen of them were girls. Z-Flex team rider Laura Logue was the first girl many of these kids had seen skating and they were especially excited to get to skate with her. This student learned how to rock to fakie today.
Staying low on the boards was a popular way to cruise around the gym. Here Rayce Davis shoots the duck while a couple students race along next to him knee-boarding.
And of course the girls had to join in on the push your favorite Z-Rider races.
Phoenix has 600,000 pools and about 60,000 of them are empty. The odds are in our favor.
This one known as Adam’s pool is a real gem. The house is rented by rock climbers and they are totally down with our cause.
The shallow end is very very nice, so nice that Rayce was front feebling right on through it. Rayce has been skating this pool for close to 9 years now and it shows.
Phoenix is also home to a lot of unique ditches, and dirt.
